Sangoma
Grace and Joe farm in the Northern Transvaal, South Africa. On a whim they move to Boane, Mozambique to farm in a remote part of the country. Collette (16) and Boetie (14) are at boarding school. They only see their parents when they are fetched for the school holidays. Joe and Grace are advised by the border police to take an alternative route due to roadworks. As Fate would have it they meet a Sangoma (traditional indigenous healer). A meeting that changes the lives of all four characters.
