As a writer you get to inhabit other lives, allowing you to ask – is it like that? Or like that? These stories explore minor existential crises, squirm humour, uncomfortable family stuff, bewildered children, awkward sex, sudden tenderness, bewildered parents, mental health issues, good days and bad days. Expect leaps between time periods, and conversations between writer and characters. The intention is that some are predominantly humorous, others predominantly poignant, and some both.
