Dead Peat Kauri

Dead Peat Kauri is a novel about the perfect conditions it takes in order for something unique and special to be preserved for eternity. In the conditions of 19th century kauri gum digging and in 2009, with discoveries of valuable swamp kauri, two women - centuries apart - are both forced to survive on their own. This novel is an allegory on whether the ends justify the means when it comes to selling precious natural resources for economic prosperity, and the role of love in creating legacies.
