Retired assassin Penelope Lomond buys the idyllic Yorkshire Dales private estate of Tennellsdale and becomes Lady of the Manor to 200 humans and countless farm animals. Her new friends in the dale are unaware of her past as a professional killer. When they jokingly tell her of their death wish list of the bullies who terrorised them growing up she decides to come out of retirement to bump off the baddies in ways that make it look accidental.
