Did Anna Bentely kill LiLan Chen? Both women compete for the coveted Simon Publishing Award. LiLan wins and Anna mixes up poisoned fried noodles as revenge but quickly gets rid of it. When LiLan is disgraced with well-founded evidence of her rank plagiarism, Anna is suddenly elevated to first place. Then the Washington Post calls to say LiLan was found dead in a possible suicide. Anna becomes a person of interest for the D.C. homicide division.
