What We're Allowed to Remember cover

What We're Allowed to Remember

Growing up in late 1980s Belfast, Nicky Alexander learns early that the world does not always behave as it should. After his father, an RUC officer, is killed on duty, Nicky retreats into video games, systems where loss can be reversed and mistakes undone. As memory begins to fracture and reality feels increasingly unstable, he is forced to confront not only his grief, but the stories his society tells itself in order to survive.
