Upon their estranged mother’s death, music-loving Ava and her chef sister Maggie are surprised to inherit a family house in their Wisconsin hometown. Following an unexpected loss of income, Ava reluctantly resolves to give Wisconsin life another shot, with her husband and 4 year old daughter. Returning to Oakvale, Ava finds shadows of a sinister past fill the house and consume Ava’s mind, threatening her marriage, her sanity, and her offspring.
