Old diaries sent Caley on a quest to find the relics of a shipwreck, but she finds more than she had bargained for. Her boyfriend is deceiving her, her brother is manipulating her, yet she finds an ally in her sister-in-law. The diaries take them from the struggles of the early pioneers through to the end of the Boer War when the British entered Pretoria only to find that all the gold had disappeared.
