The Still Room

The Barons Vervain have been sickly ever since they took Vervain Priory from the nuns at the Reformation. Legend says that they were cursed by the last prioress, in revenge for the loss of her home. All Hester knows is that her father is now the last Baron Vervain, and he is dying. When the unknown heir arrives to take over, she will be banished and homeless. Unless she, too, can summon a curse against him. Or keep her father alive forever.
