The Long Way Home

In this story, 19-year-old Ashley is hooked on weed and eager to move on to harder stuff. Only as she waits out another fight with her beleaguered mother, she trips and opens her eyes to find herself in the middle of the last battle of the English Civil War. Somehow she makes it back home and thus begins a new addiction; history. Only a kid she cares about learns her secret, and only Ashley can stop him being lost in the 1960's, before the mysterious portal closes.
