A woman's death in a fire has repercussions some ten years later as a retired accountant is found nailed to the fireplace with the initials RIMSTL drawn on his body, which the press names as 'The GOD Killer'. With no forensic evidence or leads to work on, DI Ann James gets increasingly frustrated at the lack of progress. A subsequent death where the deceased had RIV written on his naked body refocusses her attention as she determines to solve the case unaware how close she is to the perpetrator!
