Jacob Varas always dreamed of finding his grandfather in Finland. He never imagined killing Old Man would be the catalyst. Now he's on the run and stuck in Czechoslovakia until old thief named Anton takes him in. Anton plans to rob a beerhall in Munich, but Jacob becomes a liability. He falls in love, an American cop tracks him down, and night of the robbery he accidently shoots the beerhall manager. The job is headed towards catastrophe and making it to Finland seems impossible.
