Marnie lives in a world where everyone meets their life partner on or before their twenty-first birthday, except for a handful of girls who stay single forever. Marnie discovers she is one of these extra girls and must carve out a different life from the one she had in mind. She soon meets two other extra girls; the wise and accepting Bernie and the fiery and rebellious Priti. Will she follow Bernie and find fulfilment in hobbies or follow Priti and transgress by seducing a married man?
