There must be more to life than being happy, healthy and loved, Calvis thinks. So he heads for the city to become adviser to Oboron, the Presidential candidate. When they invite the Greater Universal Union of Right-Thinking Beings to visit their isolated planet, however, they jeopardise the delicate balance that makes life on Standivore so very agreeable. Now the Unioners are coming, and their intentions are far from honourable. It will take all of Calvis’s guile to save Standivore.
