Phemonoe's Fate

16-year-old Phemonoe has been chosen as Pythia; a mouthpiece to the god Apollo, who offers prophecies from atop a wooden tripod over a mystical crack in the ground in the Temple in Delphi. When Apollo is silent, Phemonoe decides to fake her own prophecy rather than face the deadly repercussions of her rejection. With each new prophecy comes a new risk of discovery and death. But even with the help of her loyal handmaiden, Charis, discovery can only be avoided for so long.
