In 1993, Nano Power is a young woman caught up in the rave scene in Waterford, Ireland. When she finds a mysterious religious sampler, in a Famine museum near where she lives on the Lisduggan Council estate, she is sent back in time through the hollow of an oak tree to 1846, the eve of the Great Famine. There are domestic rifts in her 1990s family and she projects these onto her 1840s family. How will she save her 1840s family, her 1990s family and ultimately herself?
