Lake Blademaker and the First Book of the Ancients

Lakeview Blademaker (Gleaner) plans to become the greatest sword maker in the history of the Third Age with the help of a book of the Ancients, but runs afoul of the young Lord Stithulf Rouwendaal and is condemned to be hanged, his bowels roasted over charcoal, and finally drawn and quartered, reduced to just hanging, but through guile, Lake escapes to the hinterlands to fight gargrunts, land octopi, witch lords, dragons, and all sorts of monsters.
