England, 1895, trading in birds and feathers for fashionable hats is rising. Charles Mayne, a poor caged-bird dealer's son, has ambitious intentions - he sees beauty in birds and feathers adorning women’s hats. Charles also sees beauty in wealthy Ernest Fieldman who opposes the trade. When the two young men are drawn together can they face the consequences of their illicit love affair?
