Elizabeth Branston witnesses a gangland murder outside a theatre in Edinburgh and becomes the only witness. Detective Sergeant Robert McAdams hides her in a remote Highland safe house, warning the killers will come for her. But isolation breeds suspicion. As tension and attraction grow, Elizabeth begins to wonder if the real danger isn’t outside the door, but inside the house with her.
