Lucia was there when it happened, saw what her grandfather did, saw it all. She did nothing to stop him, didn’t shout or scream or run for help; didn’t punch or kick or scrag her grandfather’s hair. She just stood and watched, let him do those things, hurt her like that. And, after her grandfather was done, Lucia simply took the money and walked away.
