THIRTY-TWO DAUGHTERS. ONE REGISTRY. A SYSTEM DESIGNED TO ERASE THEM. In 1930s Casablanca, women endure the suffocating order of a French colonial regulated brothel. They are counted, controlled, and lost.​ Malika rejects a golden escape to lead a precarious rebellion with Solh by secretly archiving their existence. As the state brands their defiance "madness" and the asylum gates loom, the women launch a counter-registry. They were told they were lost. The Registry proves they are found.
