Libraro uses 16+ patented technologies to securely record every manuscript submission, providing immutable, time-stamped proof of authorship and permanent rights protection. We use blockchain to help protect authors' rights and keep track of what happens to their work after it's uploaded to the platform. This means your story's journey is recorded securely and transparently from the moment you share it with readers.
When manuscripts are recorded on the blockchain, only sample chapters are visible to agents, publishers and readers on the Libraro platform. The full manuscript remains fully encrypted, access-controlled, and protected by the blockchain's immutable, time-stamped ledger, ensuring submissions are secure, verifiable, and permanently preserved. No full manuscript will be revealed to any readers or publishers without the express permission of the author.
Unlike traditional offline, jurisdiction-limited IP registrations, Libraro leverages blockchain to provide a unified, global copyright registry, ensuring verifiable ownership, immutable records, and secure discovery of new voices. In the AI era, it safeguards their work from unauthorised replication or AI-driven misuse.

He was President of the Booksellers Association of UK & Ireland, Chair of publishing news service BookBrunch, interim Chair of BookTrust, and Chair of the Newcastle based writing agency New Writing North. David has also been a literary agent and had two books of his own published.
